The Farm

Carnation Farms is a community-based hub for regenerative food and agriculture with a legacy dating back to 1908. They have a renewed their focus on sustainable practices, and are working to connect people to their food and educate through hands-on programs.

Their regenerative approach integrates animals, honors seasonal rest, and embraces innovation that supports long-term soil health and food system resilience. They regularly test, tweak, and rethink practices, understanding that adaptation is key: there is no universal recipe for regeneration, just principles tailored through experience. Carnation Farm hosts wilderness workshops, culinary events, hands-on agricultural workshops, a farmstand, and is currently branching out into wholesale goods made from locally sourced, regeneratively grown ingredients.

The Team

Carnation Farms is a regenerative agriculture non-profit, founded by the Stuart family and operated by a team including Paul Shoemaker (Director), Eric Popp (Director of Regenerative Agriculture, Alex Hagiepetros (Livestock Manager).

Paul has over 17 years of experience empowering social change agents and helping businesses deepen their impact. Eric adds over 15 years of expertise in livestock production, habitat restoration, forestry, and hosting on-farm events. Alex joined Carnation Farms as a Farmer in Training in spring 2018 and stepped into their current role in January 2019, rounding out an Agriculture team rooted in experience, stewardship, and hands-on learning. The farm is supported by many more individuals in their Culinary, Farmstand, Marketing, & Events departments.
